A Leavesden attraction has been named one of the top global travel destinations, beating one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world.

The Harry Potter Studio Tour at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden was ranked the fourth best global attraction that travellers want to return to, according to research by travel insurance company InsureandGo.

It analysed online reviews for over 450 landmarks worldwide, focusing on reviews in which tourists said they would love to come back to.

Reviewers said the attraction they would most like to return to overall was the Dolly Parton-branded theme park Dollywood in Tennessee, while Disneyland in California and Stone Mountain Park in Atlanta took second and third place.

While Warner Bros celebrated its 101st anniversary last month, the Leavesden studios date back to 1994 when the James Bond team were unable to shoot GoldenEye at Pinewood Studios and discovered the disused Leavesden site instead.

The Harry Potter Studio Tour later launched in 2012 offering a closer-look at authentic sets, props, and costumes from the smash-hit films.
